Inspiration – Chrisitan Astuguevielle

In the late 80’s in Paris, I was fascinated by Christian Astuguevielle’s work. He then started edited rope furniture. His work had a feeling of familiarly, both warm and bold, aesthetic, merging cultural influence from Africa, Oceania and classic French furniture.

Almost 30 years later, thank’s to Orit’s project in the studio, transforming an Ikea lamp into a sensual flower paper and rope lamp, I recollected Christian Astuguevielle’s that left a clear imprint in my creative mind.
